WhereSnap DOKUNTAG is a local visual-memory app for remembering where physical items are without forms, categories, or accounts. Take a new photo or choose one from your gallery, tap the exact spot, type or say a name, and save. Later, search by text or voice and WhereSnap reopens the same photo with the saved point clearly marked.

Privacy approach

WhereSnap uses no account, ads, analytics, tracking, backend, or DOKUNTAG cloud sync. Photos and saves stay in the app-private area on the device. Voice input is optional and uses the device/platform speech-recognition service when selected.

What it does

  • Take a new photo or choose one from your gallery and mark the item's exact spot.
  • Type a save name or say it using the selected app language.
  • Search by text or voice, including partial-name matches.
  • Add another independently searchable exact point to the same scene photo.
  • Keep records in Saved Places or move them to Archive; archived records remain searchable.
  • Share the marked photo through the phone's standard share sheet.
  • Use System, Light, or Dark appearance with 10 app languages and Arabic RTL support.
  • Keep up to 5 saves in Free; one-time Pro unlocks unlimited saves and native App Lock.

Frequently asked questions

Does WhereSnap require internet or an account?

No account is required. Photos, saves, typed search, and the save list are local. When voice input is used, any network requirement for speech recognition can depend on the device/platform speech service.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free keeps up to 5 fully functional saves. WhereSnap Pro unlocks unlimited saves and App Lock through a one-time store purchase; it is not a subscription.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

v0.1 stores saves in app-private local storage and does not provide cloud backup. Uninstalling can remove those local saves.
