1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Dokuntag® Publish website, desktop application licensing services, downloads, checkout integration, support communications, and related online services.

It does not replace the separate privacy notices of Paddle, hosting providers, analytics providers, marketplaces, or other third-party services.

2. Information we may process

• Contact information such as your name and email address when supplied during a purchase or support request.
• License records, activation status, license type, activation dates, and device-slot information.
• Limited application or device identifiers used to activate licenses, enforce device limits, protect security, and prevent abuse.
• Transaction references, product information, purchase status, currency, and other limited order data received from Paddle.
• Support messages and files or diagnostic details that you voluntarily provide.
• Technical website and server logs, such as timestamps, requested pages, browser information, IP-derived security signals, and error records.
• Cookie or analytics information where the relevant technology is enabled.

3. Payment-card information

Full payment-card details are processed by Paddle or its payment providers and are not stored by Dokuntag® Publish.

Dokuntag® Publish may receive limited transaction and fulfillment information needed to issue a license, confirm an order, provide support, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations.

4. Why information is used

• To deliver purchased licenses and related product information.
• To activate licenses and manage active-device limits.
• To perform periodic license validation.
• To operate, secure, maintain, diagnose, and improve the service.
• To answer support, payment, licensing, privacy, and product questions.
• To prevent fraud, license abuse, unauthorized access, and technical attacks.
• To maintain transaction, accounting, security, and compliance records where required.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

5. Legal bases

Depending on your location and the circumstances, processing may be based on performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent where consent is required.

The applicable legal basis may differ according to the type of information, the service used, and local law.

6. Paddle and service providers

Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for transactions processed through Paddle and independently processes buyer and payment information under its own notices and legal obligations.

Dokuntag® Publish may use hosting, deployment, database, email, form, analytics, security, and technical-support providers where reasonably necessary to operate the service. Providers receive only the information reasonably required for their role and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

7. International data transfers

Some service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards are used for international transfers.

The protections available may vary according to the provider, processing location, and applicable law.

8. Data retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including license operation, support, security, dispute handling, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Different categories of information may have different retention periods. Information may be deleted, anonymized, or securely archived when it is no longer required, subject to legal retention obligations.
